Who We Are
Greater Hearts Human Services (GHHS) was founded in 2017 to provide quality support and customized services to people with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism. We believe that individuals with IDD and Autism deserve the same opportunities to live successful and fulfilling lives and participate in services that will enhance their quality of life.
Every person has a right to enhance life and maximize their achievement toward self-determination and independence in the least restrictive environment available to them. We believe people with a disability deserve respect and dignity.
It is also our philosophy that family members and designated persons are encouraged to participate in the daily lives of the people we serve. We recognize and support each person’s strengths and preferences and work with clients and their families to design the most effective plan to meet their needs.
Therefore, we work with individuals and their partners to promote quality of life through partnership and measurable and observable outcomes to positively impact the individuals’ lives.
Since its inception, Greater Hearts has provided Residential Services from its Licensed Community Homes in Lancaster, PA (Central Region). In 2024, GHHS expanded into Pittsburgh, PA (Western Region) and will further expand its services in Chester County and other surrounding regions in Pennsylvania.
Our staff is trained to support and empower our clients with the tools they need to live their best lives and reach their full potential. Staffing support is provided according to the needs defined in the Individual Support Plan (ISP).
